Remembering Cobain and his contribution

We’re still don’t have too many details regarding his death but what we do know is that Kurt Cobain was a musical genius.

After introducing the world to Nirvana in 1985 Cobain and his bandmates became firm favourites, their second album, Nevermind,  released in 1991 which contained the iconic “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and the band enjoyed incredible success.

Cobain had his struggles with a number of demons and in the end the world said goodbye to him at the age of 27 on this day in 1994. But at least we still have the music.

I found Nirvana completely by accident, it was a Friday afternoon and I was flicking channels. I ended up stumbling on Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged recording, back when of course MTV actually played music.

After seeing Cobain’s name pop up on social media given the anniversary of his death I’ve been playing this on repeat. Enjoy.
